OUR STORY
X9 was started out of a love for creativity, art, and experimentation. Emily began making the first X9 bikini prototypes out of re-purposed designer textiles and after some interest was generated she realized there may be potential for more than just a creative outlet. She realized she was not able to meet the demands of the growing business on her own. Hale, her longtime friend came on board to help with numbers and accounting. Together (and with the help of others in their community) they found seamstresses, grew the brand and did a DIY zero waste renovation on the current X9 showroom and design studio. The studio opened to the public in 2018 and is located in the heart of east Vancouver. Emily and Hale continue to grow X9 with their team and the original spirit of the brand in mind; to create fun and unique pieces for dancers, performers, and the queer community to express their confidence and sexuality.

Due to the intimate nature of our garments all sales are final. If there is a quality issue or you have received the wrong item please contact us so we can correct the issue. We make all of our items by hand and cannot guarantee that the item you receive will appear exactly as it does on our website.
